Vijandren, an electrical engineer by trade, with more than 20 years’ experience working in the electrical power industry.  He started his career at Eskom, the South African utility, designing electrical power infrastructure and later operating the national electricity grid. He has spent the last 15 years in the development and operations of Solar PV & Wind and BESS plants globally in companies such as Scatec and Brookfield Renewable. His current role as of Head of BESS Operations CoE involves defining and co-ordinating the BESS operational strategy working closely with all the relevant functions (Growth, E&C, Commercial, Ops, etc.) with a focus is on derisking the portfolio through hybridization of solar assets with BESS.
